Stud Wall & Metal Lath Installation for Thin Stone Veneer


How to install thin stone veneer over a stud wall substrate:
(make sure to check with engineer for every job)

1. 2"x6" Wood Studs spaced no wider than 16" on center
2. Plywood/OSB
3. Tyvek vapor barrier or equivalent
4. 3.4lb self-furring paper backed expanded metal lath such as Tilath or equivalent
5. Laticrete 254 Platinum Thinset or equivalent
6. Thin Stone Veneer ( Link: http://www.earthrox.net )

*Each job is different and you should always have your plans approved by an engineer/architect, follow all building codes, follow manufacturer's recommended installation instructions, hire a licensed and bonded contractor, and make sure all aspects of your installation are done safely and correctly.
