Multiple Colors Can Add Personality To Your Home

With this particular room, we had a unique situation. As some point and time over the years, there was water damage from the outside that had leaked in around the windows resulting in the plaster softening in these areas. A previous homeowner had carved out these bad areas and cleaned it down to the original brick wall. Of course, the exterior problem was fixed before this was done. We're not sure how many different homeowners lived in this home over the years, but it appears that one or more of them might have tried to do away with a lot more of the plaster and stopped before it was done. This is how it was explained to us. Our homeowner wanted to paint these areas a different shade than the actual wall, accenting these areas. We actually put on a base coat and did a sponging affect on the brick, giving it a rustic look. After our homeowner put up their artwork, this room took on a personality all its own.

Multiple Colors Can Add Personality To Your Home

This kitchen was in the same area as the picture before but on the opposite side of the room. The homeowner wanted to use a couple of colors on the walls and they wanted the woodwork to be white. With the lighting in this room, it's a very comfortable space.
