no starting the atv

While it is a bit of a stretch to contribute this story to the forum, it is something that any home owner might run into.

The first step in fixing my electrical problem was to see if the battery was dead. It was not.

The next step was to turn the ignition key on and while it sometimes lit up some lights, other times it would not. I started tugging at some of the wires on the ignition switch and anywhere else. Still no lights.
The solution was found to be dirty battery posts.
The head lights and tail light work fine now. We were so relieved that such a simple thing could be the fix of the problem. I remember being told that most things, if not all things electrical , have issues because of either no power or a bad ground.
