Ben,
Love this article and my neighbors and I are doing our part.
This past weekend, kids and parents in our neighborhood in suburban Chicago collected 750 lbs of food items and $555 in donations ($15 feeds a family of 4). To top it all off, it was a beautiful fall day in Chicago (60 degrees and sunny).
Thank you for spreading the word!
Best, Shaunak

Ben,
Great blog on a worthy cause. What better time of year to recognize the need to help others, especially in these challenging economic times. I love the picture with the towers of food-very creative. It would be great if everyone who read this blog committed to make a donation, whether at a Sears Hometown Store or your local foodbank.
Thanks, Will

Ben, Great article for a worthy cause. One of the things that really stuck out to me when I visited the stores that were participating in this food drive was the local community spirit. As a rule the local Hometown Store distributes the donations to local organizations. Once the community realizes this it it has a way of bringing everyone in the community closer together. Jim

This is a time to think about others and especially during these tough economic times, help is needed now more than ever. I really like that this donation helps that particular community. Pulling together to help each other out is what its all about.

This type of local focus is one of greatest parts of being associated with the Sears Hometown Stores. I will be making a contribution to the cause later this week.

This is a great article regarding a very worthy cause. Another example of how the Sears Hometown stores are helping their local communities! Help make this year a record and donate the needed items.

Hi Ben,
Thank you for the note of support. There are many great programs available to give back this holiday season. The food drive is just one way to make Christmas a little merrier for local families.

Ben,
Thanks for supporting the Food Drive, it is a great event that helps families in your local community.
We have divided the Hometown Stores Support Center into two teams to have a contest to see who can raise the most donations.
The Powell team will most get the most donations for sure!
