As you probably realize by now, we here at BobVila.com are big fans of recycling and reuse. In our recent show about the reuse of old steel shipping containers to build storm-resistant houses in Florida, we proved smart builders don't just throw away materials. In that same spirit, design house enPieza has introduced the Volivik Lamp, a handmade chandelier constructed of Bic ballpoint pens. Made up of 347 pens, it stands over 31 inches tall and 20 inches wide. The Volivik Lamp is a limited edition offering with just 30 available chandeliers, available for $1,000 apiece. Yeah, that may seem pricey but chandeliers have never been cheap and this one is a custom job. Having this in your home is one way to say, "Nothing goes to waste here."
