Lila was born and raised in Onancock, a town of 2,500 residents on the Eastern Shore of Virginia. She is the daughter of the late Dr. Thomas N. Jacob,Jr. and the late Flora Miller Jacob. Lila and her husband William Nicolls,III have two grown children, a daughter, a graduate of William & Mary, who is now Lila's Licensed Assistant. A son, who is a graduate of Old Dominion University and a past Marine Corps Reservist. He is presently employed as an Economist with the Department of Commerce. They are also the proud grandparents of 2 granddaughters and one grandson. They now share their home with 2 dogs, Sunny a wire haired Dachshund and Charlie Brown a long haired Dachshund. When Lila has some free time she enjoys, art, boating, antiquing, theatre, animals and biking.
