Dotted along the 'Inside Passage' between the British Columbia mainland and Vancouver Island are the Gulf Islands. Pylades Island is only a 30 minute flight by seaplane from the hustle and bustle of cosmopolitan Vancouver, British Columbia, which in turn in just a short hop from Seattle, Washington. This breathtaking hideaway offers roughly 8,000 feet of unspoiled beach frontage and approximately 68 acres of old-growth cedar, fir, madrone and maple trees. Spectacular views of coastal mountains and pristine waters abound from rocky promontories, sheltered coves and sandy beaches. Starfish, crab, clams, mussels and oysters are but a few examples of the varied marine life found in Pylades tidal pools and diverse beaches. A wide variety of trophy fish can be caught in the surrounding waters. The large A-frame house on SE cove is completely equipped with electricity, indoor plumbing, propane stove and refrigerator, radio-telephone, fireplace and wood-burning furnace and a finished basement. This cabin sleeps four to six people. In addition there is a two-room guest house with electricity, indoor plumbing and wood stove on SE point about 300 feet from main house. Large factory building with electricity and indoor plumbing which can be easily converted into large comfortable house. Smaller stone generator house can be converted into living quarters. Existing structures are restorable without permit requirements.
