Locally known as the Schwartz House this special Victorian cottage was built in 1870 just down the street from the then recently built Stanton Hall mansion. For many years it was the physician's office of Dr. Iles beloved father of Natchez literary giant Greg Iles. In 2005 it underwent a painstaking, preservation award winning, and well documented restoration to return it to a single family home with all new everything.
