Maintaining Your Deck |

Real Cedar creates an inviting outdoor living room space, perfect for relaxing or entertaining.

All decks require some annual maintenance regardless of the material used there is no such thing as a “No Maintenance” or “Maintenance Free” decking material. The good news is keeping a deck in top condition requires no more than an afternoon or two every couple of years (depending on your climate). Even a complete deck makeover can be relatively quick and easy allowing you to clean, stain and finish a 1,000-square-foot deck all in one day.
A deck that dries after wetting will last longer than one that stays damp. Good maintenance practices for Cedar decks include allowing proper water drainage; keeping the surface free of dirt, leaves, pine-needles and other debris; and moving planters, benches and other deck accessories from time to time to permit the deck beneath them to dry thoroughly.

With a rich grain, texture and color that enhances and complements any architectural style, Real Cedar fits naturally with the great outdoors.
