The obverse displays the image of the Virgin of Mariazell with the words MAGNA MATER AUSTRIAE (Great Mother of Austria) and the date 1957. The reverse (partially obscured by the money clip frame) shows the Basilica of Mariazell and the words BASILIKA MARIAZELL 1157-1957. The distinctive heart-shaped open frame has a looped back clip.
