This handsome and substantial Russian sterling silver soup ladle was made by Alexander Nikolajow, Mitin, St. Petersburg in 1855. It measures 13-1/2 inches in length and has a 4-3/8 x 3-1/8 inch gold washed bowl. Marks appear to read AB, A.M. 1855, 84; 875, MIR8, 38.
