1911 Sterling Silver Art Nouveau Dresser Set, Birmingham, England
5 Pieces. A mirror, 2 hair brushes and 2 clothes brushes. Each features a sunken cartouche with a young girl sitting on a low wall holding a bouquet of flowers while birds fly overhead. The mirror displays the scene twice, once at the front & again on the handle when turned over. Pretty bows and more flowers further decorate the pieces along with a geometric design at the end of each handle. Each piece is fully hallmarked including a registry number. Birmingham date code for 1911. The brushes have all natural pig bristles. All pieces are in excellent condition with only the occasional small shallow dent the worst being on the reverse side of the handle of 1 brush. Some nicks here and there as can be expected from almost a century of use. The mirror has some very, very minor fogging which does not affect its reflection in my opinion. A highly ornate & ornamental set, a perfect gift for someone special.
