Very Unusual Cranberry Match striker - significant because of its faceted cut glass swags that are surrounded by the threaded cranberry glass. We have not seen one like this in our 30 years of collecting. The hallmark on the sterling silver rim is too worn to read due to the years of polishing, so we will date it in the range of 1890 to 1920 when smoking had its hey day and the economic effects of WWI brought luxury goods like this exquisite piece to an end.
