Daguerreian Photographer Matthew Brady Sterling Salt Trays
I obtained these English Sterling Condiment trays from a great collector of daguerreotypes and Matthew Brady personal treasures years ago. These condiment/Salt trays are said to have belonged to the great photographer himself. His trademark initials are engraved on each tray and marked with the words "English Sterling" on the bottom of each tray. There are six 2 x 3 1/2 inch trays in all. A sterling tea set belonging to Brady sold back in 1988 at auction had the same exact scroll work. Beautiful pieces in every respect. Click for Price @ GoAntiques.com
