We are offering a large and heavily embossed brass 19th Century DUCK PRESS mounted on wood block base. These are highly prized by French Chef's and Gourmands the world over. This early press is complete with interior metal basket and heavy metal press plate. The circular press plate is lowered by the heavy, handle operated central screw. This completely operational early press is used to extract the juices from Duck, Chicken and other Foul as well as the softened bones from other meats. These rich and highly flavored juices are used in making sauces.
