It is made of sterling silver and weighs approximately 1.50ozt. It appears to be in excellent condition. It shows no signs of damage out of the ordinary such as polish marks and light surfaces scratches that are common with any sterling piece. The original patina has been left on. Truly a unique piece! Founded in 1853 in Concord, New Hampshire, the William B. Durgin Co. was purchased by the Gorham Mfg. Co. in 1905. The manufacturing operations were moved to Providence, Rhode Island in 1931.
