EARLY 1900S REVERSE PAINTED TABLE LAMP FLORAL DESIGN
This is an early 1900s table lamp with a reverse painted floral design. The base is painted pot medal and the main part of the lamp where the reverse painted floral design is is glass. Reverse painting means it was painted on the inside of the glass. Reverse paintings were very popular in the early 1900s and that's why I'm assuming this lamp is from that period. The lamp has been rewired and the two light bulb sockets have been replaced with new ones. I would say the shade is also fairly new. I bought this at a local sale as you see it. It works and there is nothing broken or cracked on the metal or the glass. The lamp is 23 inches tall and the base is approximately 5 inches square. The shade is 14 inches wide.
