An exceptionally fine example of the Gothic style. The case is oak with a wonderful patina. The dial is painted metal signed "Lister & Son", "Newcastle Upon Tyne". The movement is an exceptional triple fusee with chains. The clock strikes the quarter hours on a nest of 8 bells, at the hour it strikes on a heavy gong and has a wonderful sound.
