Very old Yemenite embroidered Tfillin bag. Made in Palestine/Israel, circa 1940-50's.Measures 6 1/4 X 7 1/8inches.Black velvet bag for holding Tfillin. The front embroidered in pale blue and gold metal thread. The tightness of the pattern indicates that this is a good old vintage piece. This old Yemenite art has all but disappeared and this is a lovely example in excellent condition. A zipper on top may be a later addition. The inside is lined in grey cotton, which is in good order.
