A 1920's Japanese pottery lamp, 13" tall to bottom of socket, overall height is 21", wood base is 6" in diameter. The lamp is painted to look like a Lacquerware vase. The wood base is a beautiful old one and the lamp has been rewired with a new 3-way socket. The decoration on the vase is gold and silver leaf, the bird is perched on a branch admiring the aged gold leaves. The lamp has a very nice old patina in that some of the gold has been rubbed through to the underling brick red on the leaves, along with other age spots. On the back of the vase some of the paint is missing in two spots as shown in the photo but the whole look of the lamp is very nice and will add a beautiful decorative highlight to your room. The lamp is topped with a glass ball finial. (4) Click for Price @ GoAntiques.com
