Kirk & Sons 11 oz. Castles sterling Hot water urn, Tea pot , covered sugar, and waste bowl
This is an amazing sterling silver set. The measurements of each piece are: Urn 18 1/4" high x 10" wide handle to handle, coffee pot 8" high x 10 1/2" wide spout to handle, waste bowl, 7 " diameter x 5 1/4" high, and the covered sugar bowl is 81/4" high x 7 1/4" wide. What is amazing about the pieces is the design - -- On the hot water Urn - one side is an Indian , galloping on horseback; bow and arrow drawn; with a log cabin in the background where the castle should be . On the front , by the spout , is a swan on its back , with the arrow in its chest - and angel trying to pull it out ; by the swan's side is another swan standing looking on ,with a tear rolling from it's eye; and of course, the castle in the background . The other pieces of the set have amazing configurations of animals ;- urns with flowers ect -. We have pictures of all of these , but this format only allows 4 pictures. We hope to hear from you and I think it should be in a museum , as no one has said they have ever seen anything like it before; beautifully done , great workmanship as well as design.
