Krementz Enameled Sterling Silver Cut Glass Dresser Jar
A very pretty cut glass dresser jar with an enameled sterling silver hinged lid by Krementz. The jar is simply cut with a rayed star pattern to the base, allowing the sterling silver cap to steal the show. The cap features repousse decoration of a thistle highlighted in beautiful shades of green, white and purple translucent enamels. The silver surfaces below the enamel are engraved for added detail. Exposed areas of silver have a slightly matte finish. The edge of the color is completed with beaded decoration. The interior of the collar is stamped with Krementz' hallmark. The jar retains its original glass stopper inside the silver lid. Origin: America, ca. 1900. Condition: excellent, no cracks or large chips to bottle, a pinpoint fleabite to upper edge of bottle, a 1/4" ding to the edge of the silver lid, a few roughnesses on the interior glass stopper. Size: 2-3/4" tall; 1-7/8" diameter. Click for Price @ GoAntiques.com
