Tin Lithograph Advertising Box Books Biscuits
Here is something absolutely wonderful Â- an advertising tin. It is marked Huntley & Palmers Biscuits Reading & London. It is a strapped group of leather bound books in all the classics Â- History of London, Pilgrims Progress, Burns, Pickwick Papers, Robinson Crusoe, GulliverÂ's Travels, Self Help and Shakespeare. The lithography is exceptional and the condition is quite spectacular. I believe this advertising tin dates from the 1880Â's -1890Â's. IÂ'm just in loved with this box! If you have taken a look at the other items in our online shop you will see that another one of our passions is books which explains why I felt that this piece was quite irresistible. This tin even has marbleized page edges just like you would find on real Victorian leather bound books. It measures 6 ½Â" x 6 ½Â" x 4 ½Â".
