Johnson 795133
U.S. 1842 model martial Army pistol Johnson
NO PAPERWORK OR LISCENSE REQUIRED FOR ANTIQUE GUNS $1,995.00 for this original U.S. model 1842 martial percussion pistol made by Johnson of Middleton Conn. in 1853 in terrific condition. The gun appearantly came from the infamous Bannerman stockpile about 80 years ago and it was inspected but never actually used or even issued. I have had this piece for many years and it had original greased packing paper both in barrel and in nipple when I got it. The wood stock is in virtually NEW condition with no sign of wear or use that I can detect. The brass is bright and clean and the steel has only very slight pitting around nipple. Barrel is marked U.S. S.K. B near breech with 1853 stamped on the back barrel tang. Beautiful inspector cartouches on wood stock 'J H' and 'W C T' they look like. Action is very tight and works perfectly. Lockplate is very clean and bright and is stamped U.S. I.N. JOHNSON MIDDtn CONN. 1853. This is a beautiful piece and very rare in this condition. Email me at if you have any questions or need more pictures. Please see the other similar pieces that I have up for sale. Thankyou for viewing.
