Urn, Cast Iron, Garden, c. 1880-1900
An American cast iron garden urn, signed by the maker, "J.P. Fiske N.Y." The urn has various Gothic and American aesthetic motives, including sprays of flowers and entwined leaves to the bowl edge. The piece dates c. 1880-1900. The octagonal base mirrors an apron above, mounted with aesthetic flower heads and leaves. The piece retains the original interior strainer and has a fine old rusted patina surface. (#1828)
