VINTAGE LONDON BOBBY'S SWORD
This wonderful London Bobby's sword harkens back to Victorian England where the British Victorian Policeman (nicknamed Â"BobbyÂ" after the founder of the British Police Force, Sir Robert Peel) is nowadays synonymous with the stories of Sherlock Holmes or Jack the Ripper. This 19th-century police related antique sword which comes from the times when the Bobby on the beat strode fog shrouded cobbled streets and defended law and order in Victorian England. The hilt is 5-1/2 x 4-1/2 inches, the blade is 23-1/2 inches, and overall it measures 31 inches. The sword is marked WRC and comes with a leather scabbard.
