Victorian Bedroom Suit - Hand Made and Hand Carved - 4 pieces
Hand crafted in Evansville, Indiana between 1875 and 1890, this bedroom set was lovingly made by a man for his wife. He was not a furniture maker, but this was his love and his hobby and he made many pieces over the years for his family. This set is made from a combination of oak and ash woods. The bed consists of a tall carved headboard and footboard, sideboards and slats and is a regular sized bed. The dresser has drawers with hand carved handles, marble top, two glove/hanky drawers, a drawer for keys, watch, etc. and a beautiful wishbone mirror. Also included in this set is a lovely wash stand with drawer and two doors for storage, and a unique bench with curved arms and also two doors underneath for storage. This set has a nice finish and is ready to use and is available for PICK UP ONLY in Henderson, Kentucky. Measurements are as follows: Headboard is 77" tall, 62" wide, siderails 72" long, footboard 28" tall. Dresser is 41" wide, 38" tall plus mirror which is 38" tall and 24" wide.
