An important collection of 10 cdv & tintype photographs of one African-American Family of ex-slaves from Zanesville,Ohio and Tennessee. The collection highlights include a cdv photograph of a young boy holding a saber identified as the Mascot of the 127th Ohio Colored Troops. Another remarkable image shows a Black Elderly Lady likely in her 80's are older showing off her broken,mangled hands. Likely the result of years of slavery. There are additional images of Bearded Black Man on a horse,a beautiful Black Slave Girl tintype,New Orleans White Slave Children,Young lady from Nashville,Tennessee,The Family Cat and much more as shown. These images came out of one photo album many years ago. The photographer on the Zanesville,Ohio cdv images is J.R.Baird of 136 Main Street. Fresh to the market.You will never find a finer grouping.
