These are (5) very nice military buttons ranging from 1867 to 1920. The button at the top is a U.S. Naval cuff button with a J.R. Gaunt & Son backmark. Next row left to right are three coat buttons: (1) French Infantry Button with a Paris backmark, (2) Illinois State Seal Button with a Pettibone MF'G Co., Cincinnati backmark, and (3) National Home for Disabled Volunteer Soldiers Button with a Steele & Johnson / Waterbury backmark (rare) (ca. 1865-1875).
