"Country French" Louis XV carved walnut fireplace mantle. Mid to late 18th century. Sides are not as deep as the top. Could be built in. Wear on the sides and top. The top has a split in the wood on the left. But it is not objectionable. We found this piece in Montpellier, a town in the south of France. Will provide more photos at a later date.
