The cage is folding so it’s portable. The raccoon outsmarted me the first night so I had to use gum to attach bait to the trigger mechanism. The raccoon just pushed the cage out of the way until I didn’t give it any other option. Grateful I was able to use a non harmful means to remove the pest from my garage since it was making a mess in there when it snuck in.

A previous animal trap I had was only 18 inches long. It worked for most ground squirrels that I have been trying to catch, but one smart one managed to scramble out of it every time the door closed on his tail. I bought this longer trap and it works perfectly. It also has a trap door that locks once it closes which is extremely helpful as well.

This trap works fantastic! I didn't quite assemble it correctly initially. There is a swing bar that locks the trapdoor closed when it is activated. I did not have it right, and the squirrel just pushed the door open. After I figured out the problem, it worked perfectly. This unit is much larger than some of the cheaper traps.
It is much more inviting for the squirrel to go into. All good!

This cage is simply too small to accommodate a decent size groundhog, raccoon or even possum. I have actually watched them walk in, trigger and pull the bait to them only to back out and then letting the door close.

It does work well though on rodents like squirrels, rats and rabbits. But if you want something to catch and relocate larger varmints like skunks, raccoons, groundhogs and possums you will likely want to look for a much larger model.
