I couldn't believe how thin and (as a result) easily opened. I would not feel safe using them on any article of clothing, where it could easily open because the pin material and head it clips into, is so thin and easily bent out of shape! ended up throwing them away.

These things are surprisingly weak. The metal is very bendy, so much so that it’s difficult to penetrate fabric. Imagine something along the line of a twist-tie. That’s how easily they bend.

I bought these pins for pin basting a quilt. They were very hard to work with! The smallest 2 sizes were so flimsy
that they just bent. With the 3rd size, I was able to use somewhat...about 1 out of every 3 was so dull, they wouldn’t even go thru the top layer of cotton fabric. Some of them were rough tipped so that they snagged the material.
I am very disappointed and would have left no stars if that were an option.

These safety pins are awful. Most are not sharp at all. They're so dull and thin that they bend when you try to push them through anything. I was trying to safety pin a low cut shirt, it was a thin/sheer fabric and I broke 2 of these before I finally getting one through the tiny seem. So disappointed. Mr. Pen usually has good products.
