<description>Hi Donna, these lessons are very helpful! I am not an expert on home improvements, but sometimes, I consider myself a DIYer. These lessons and realizations can be a big help.

But you know, sometimes, after doing a DIY home improvement project, I wish that I had consulted or accepted a professional’s help and services, especially when I want to keep my house’s value. I am not planning to sell my house – not yet anyway, but if ever, I know that if I am not careful, the house value will suffer. A few months ago, we published a blog, a report from HSBC’s annual home improvement survey, and it showed the effect of DIY improvements on house prices, which was not good. I guess, DIYers really have to be more careful when doing DIY improvements especially when their home’s selling value is concerned. Anyway, just sharing. Again, thanks for sharing these lessons!
