I am going to do this in my kitchen, don’t like the fact that my hinges are on the outside, will have to change those along with my handles. Thanks for the tips.

Nice article.
Just a note: Due to TSP’s high PH level, using BIN and TSP together is not a good idea unless you thoroughly rinse the wood. The instructions on the BIN can even state this. An ammonia based cleaner is preferred.

So curious what your advice would be to those of us out here in CA who can’t get Penetrol or Impervo anywhere… looking for good paint and advice without any oil based paints available.
