Wouldn't it be cool if they could develop a retractable hose that rolls up into the wall

Can I say I'm jealous? My house was built in the mid-60s, and there's no way we could put one in here! Are the hoses heavy? They look as if they would be.

They can cost anywhere from $1500 upwards. It can be a DIY project, but it is much, much easier if it's done before the walls are sealed up. The vacuum tubes essentially run through the walls just like plumbing pipes.

How much does a unit like that run? And can it only be installed on a new house build?

We had one of these in our house growing up and I loved it. They really make life so much easier, and if I ever build a new house in the future, I will definitely be putting one in.

One of those items that we'd really hate to give up. Never imagined we would use it as much as we do.
