Signs it’s time to get back in the garden: The sun is shining, temperatures are warming up, and Lowe’s SpringFest is in full swing! Customers can expect to save hundreds of dollars on a wide range of gear to care for their outdoor spaces. The retailer’s main event of the season spans indoors and out, but some of the biggest highlights in our mind are in landscaping essentials: mulch, trimmers, blowers, mowers, and more. See what savings caught our editors’ eyes.

Mulch Is Half-Off

Mulching is key to maintaining the ideal soil temperature for your plants, suppressing weeds, and conserving water. Plus, there’s nothing like a freshly mulched landscape for curb appeal. While $2 per bag might not sound like a hot deal if you’ve never mulched a garden before, just trust us: The savings add up quickly. If you’re looking to spread at least a 2-inch layer over your two 8-foot-by-8-foot flower beds, you’ll need to pick up a dozen or more bags of mulch. That’s nearly $50 in wood chips reduced to $24 during SpringFest. It’s such a good deal, the retailer named it one of the biggest draws of the event—a SpringFest Steal!

Save on a Black+Decker Outdoor Tool Combo

We’ve personally tested and like both of these outdoor tools when reviewing the best battery-powered string trimmers and leaf blowers for maintaining small yards. They’re lightweight (neither weighs more than 4.5 pounds), which makes them especially easy to maneuver. Plus, they share the same 20-volt battery, which we found to last 30 minutes on a single charge. Bundled together at $20 off, it’s a solid deal on a starter set for someone with pretty basic landscaping needs.

Ego Battery-Powered Mowers Are On Sale

We’ve tested dozens of mowers in the past few years, and the Ego Power+ stands out thanks to its high-efficiency brushless motor and 56V 7.5-Ah battery. Not only did it provide 60 minutes of runtime during our tests, but it also featured a rapid charger that powered it back up in just an hour. With its 21-inch deck and variable-speed self-propelled wheels that give it the capability to mow more than 3 mph, this mower is suitable for yards up to a half acre.
