Cork Walls

Cork walls are a super stylish way to add some texture, interest, and warmth to a room. Cork is not only environmentally friendly and sustainable, but it's also good for soundproofing and, of course, to use as a tack board. It's available in many colors and patterns, and in the form of rolls, wallpaper, or tiles. Phillip Jeffries has some great-looking cork wallpaper, but it's not thick enough to use as a tack board. Amcork and Jelinek have tons of fantastic cork tiles, rolls, and flooring in various thicknesses.
I needed a large tack board for my studio on which to pin tear sheets of furnishings, samples of fabric, and paint and materials to see how it all works together. Not having an entire wall that would be suitable to cover with cork, I bought some thick cork tiles instead to make a large, frameless tack board on a smaller wall. The tiles just arrived and I love them! I can't wait to install them and put them to good use.
