Every year Pantone declares a "color of the year." While it's not a good idea to follow short-lived trends in decorating, and color preferences are deeply personal and can't be dictated by a company, it's a fun opportunity to celebrate color and gain some inspiration.
This year's color is Emerald, which I can happily get behind. Timeless and lush, bold without being brash, emerald is a perennial favorite of decorators and clients. Here are some lovely ways to incorporate it into your home.
