Interior doors come in a variety of offerings today as well as an assortment of styles and widths, but there are differences that you should be aware of.
Some doors are what are known as "hollow core". As the name says, they are hollow.
Depending on the door manufacturer, there is very little in between the panels. Some of will have a honeycomb sandwich (shown below) to add a bit of rigidity.
