Paint and Glaze

By Alchemy Fine Living on Mar 20, 2012

I introduced this dresser in an earlier post titled, “Dresser with an aged patina“. The hardware was still wet, so only half of it was put back on, and the glaze was tacky, so I snapped one quick photo. I was so excited to show it off I couldn’t wait to put it all back together, stage a photo, and do it right the first time. But now, one week latter, I finally finished and she is ready for a proper debut!

If you read the first post about this dresser you already know that I achieved this look using a clear glaze that I tinted with black paint. This was my first attempt at finishing a piece with glaze and I have to say I am so jazzed about this new product.  I will be glazing like crazy for the next couple of weeks! It’s my new favorite thing.
