Fingal Residence by JAM Architects
By Inthralld on Feb 08, 2013
Reclaimed wood of all shapes, sizes, and stains outfit this Victoria, Australia home, making a stunning, expansive space that stands among the rugged hills near the water. JAM Architects were the masterminds behind this residence and guest flat, which creates plenty of depth in the woodwork alone.
The interior is simple and clean, with stark white walls and natural finished wood furniture and built-in shelving. Public spaces are relegated to the lower level, while bedrooms are elevated on the second floor and have sprawling views of the hills and cliffs that the landscape offers. The lines on the exterior are all clean and simple, with a variety in windows and an interesting dark choice in exterior woods.
