Neon is making its way from runways into home decor, and I am totally on board.  Neon in broad strokes can be too overwhelming, but a hint of it can still be subtle while really punching up an otherwise boring room (like the gray and tangerine Etsy pillow below, for example).  Consider adding a small print or dipped vase of neon the next time you're out shopping - it could be just the thing you need to update for spring.
