Spectacular Cliffside Cabin Stands Out from the Chilean Coast
By Crnchy on Apr 17, 2013
WMR Architects in Chile have created a true masterpiece with their Tres Hermanos Cabin in Mantazas, Chile. The cabin hugs a cliff and looks down on the ocean crashing onto the shore below. WMR created this cabin with the intent to keep the cost low, blend it into the environment, and provide a home that lets the residents become one with the natural beauty around them. They succeeded.
The residence uses aged wood for siding so the home blends in perfectly with nature surrounding the home. The only thing that pops up dramatically from nature is the red beams on the side of the beautiful wood deck. The interior of the house features a variety of wood siding in different finishes that helps the house to continue the blending with nature. Large windows facing in multiple directions brings the beauty of the area right into the home, and allows sunlight to brighten every corner of the large home.
One of the most stunning features of the house is the long stairway leading down to the beach. It is created from the same aged wood that is used for siding. This is a home that allows your mind to become one with nature -- a very successful project from WMR.
