Simple and Striking Modern Home in Melbourne, Australia
By Freshome.com on Apr 10, 2013
The New Old residence is a project completed in 2012 (Melbourne, Australia) by the bright architect, Jessica Liew, who tried to create a home that is both luminous and intimate. The project spreads over 360 square meters and it elegantly combines classic brick walls and stone pavements with modern furniture and finishings. Conceptualized as an open space, the living room offers a stunning view over the interior garden, perfectly integrated into its surroundings.
The uncluttered atmosphere is the result of following a simple design line and eliminating from the very beginning all unnecessary décor elements. Plenty of natural materials such as bluestone, timber and marble have been integral in defining the space. The result is an impeccable, neat and relaxing home, strongly connected with the environment.
