Sunday Funday Photos: Barns
By Building Blox on Sep 16, 2012
This Sunday I think we'd have a look at some barns just for fun.
Older but still in use
Newer barn that reflects the changes in farming
I would assume that there are many cows housed in this long barn
You can still see the original which is dwarfed by the additions
Still standing but way past it's prime
A huge barn in great shape but from an era gone by
Sadly it won't survive without some major attention and soon
A barn that finally gave in to the weather and probably a winter's heavy snows
Designed for hay storage above but now hay production has changed and wrapped round bales are the norm
New England is filled with barns. Most are from an era where people could make a decent living working the land. Now that isn't the case and many of those that continue do so out of personal choice and not solely financial reasoning.
