I love American Standard's Retro Pedestal Sink (Lowe's), but I'm concerned it may be too difficult to install it to the studs on the wall. It will replacing an earlier vanity. Yes, there are studs centered off of the plumbing. But do I we have to cut a hole in our wall? Or is there a plate or something that we can put on top of the wall? Is it that difficult? I've heard that it is. Secondly, this same item also has a wooden stand rather than a pole under it. If I use this stand, do I still have to install the sink to the wall?
