I recently purchased a mobile home with a gas corner fireplace. There is a stone looking paneling on the front. I would like to know the cheapest way to remodel the fireplace front. I am up for suggestion. Any thing will look better then this paneling. There is a stone one inch high from floor hearth (not to big) in which I was thinking of having it covered with those 12 x 12 inch mosaic or glass squares, I hope you know what I am talking about. I have seen them in the home improvement stores and thought the hearth would like nice with that. Any advice for the front surrounding? Something not to hard to install would be nice since friends are doing the work and I don't wish to over burden them with this, one of many projects. Linda

Yes, I know what mosaic you are talking about, and I think that would look amazing.
