Good news is I have an 18th Century American table. Bad news is that my brother-in-law sanded the top and used wood filler in the cracks before he abandoned the job. I know I'll never get back the "original" finish, but I'd like to do something that would make it look somewhat more acceptable and original. So How do I remove the wood filler, and what type of finish should I try to blend the table top in with the rest of the piece?
