It does sound high, but it is an average cost. I would look around a little bit more, maybe you could get a better deal, but I would stick with this plan

i think 400$ is quite reasonable with 100$ here and there.....

Thankfully I am still young as well and still able to install new doors myself. Who knows in a couple of years my back wouldn't be able to lift those doors and I would finally need to hire a professional to do it for me. I think it is important to look through various options for carpenters before deciding on one.
