Just bought a house and have noticed that the sump pump--after a decent rain--goes on about every 45 to 60 seconds for about a couple of days.

It's a Zoeller, sits in a pit, and has a tile drain pipe that seems to be filling it up, causing the rapid cycling.

House was built in 2003. Gutters go into the ground.

Is this normal?

Please advise...I"m obviously concerned about this.

Thank you.
